In Northamptonshire, we have two unusual venues both with private air strips. One location is an elegant and imposing house with large grounds and tennis court. The swimming

pool has a large domed cover which opens in the manner of an observatory. The house looks over a haha onto its own land. This has the smallest private airfield in England and there

is hanger space for two aeroplanes.

At the other location, set in 500 acres of "wilderness", approached through forest over a disused railway line with gothic style bridge, after some time you arrive at a plateau, this field

issown with wild flowers and grasses and in the distance is a tiny isolated woodland cottage. In this wilderness there are a number of lakes of different sizes with craggy slopes down

to the waters edge. There is a more substantial airfield at this location with a variety of hangers including two replica WWI canvas hangers and a large number of private and

unusualcollectors aeroplanes.
